Supreme Sips

On April 26 and 27, Champagne lovers will almost certainly be found at Searcys Bubbly Show taking place at Carlton House Terrace in St James. Over these two days, guests will have a chance to talk and taste their way to a deepened understanding of the bubbly world. From the 'art of sabrage' masterclass to blind tastings and seminars with top growers, there are endless opportunities to celebrate this wonderful tipple in a fun, fresh way.

Karaoke Club

Karaoke enthusiasts will be thrilled to learn of BAM Karaoke Box, the 22-room venue landing in London Victoria on April 19th. Renowned for its trademark Parisian flair, the singing rooms will bring a real edge to London's entertainment scene with its highly unique aesthetic and strong food and drink slant. Featuring luscious gardens, a grand staircase, DJ booth, live music and a late-night license, there are plenty of offerings designed to keep guests dazzled and entertained. Consultant Culinary Director Sabrina Gidda has carefully designed a modern European menu with French influences (think devilled eggs and truffled mushroom and taleggio vol au vents), while mixologist Julian De Feral brings an elevated cocktail lineup with signature blends. Each private karaoke room has been uniquely designed, drawing inspiration from the royal menagerie at St James' Park and its associated decadence, immersing guests into a world of escapism.

Nice To Meet TÓU

TÓU has officially opened as a limited time pop-up above the Globe Tavern, courtesy of TĀ TĀ Eatery founders, Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng. Escape the bustle of Borough Market for a truly unique dining experience where traditional American sandwiches meet the expert craftsmanship of Japanese cooking techniques and flavours. TOU is serving up a mouthwatering sandwich selection (including the standout Ibérico pork katsu sando), alongside ice cream sundaes, pet nat and natural wines. Consider it an elevated version of the classic sandwich/soda combination we were all happily raised on.

All Soul

On Wednesday 24th, One Hundred Shoreditch will be hosting a Lobby Lates session, in partnership with Brick Lane Jazz Festival. Expect an evening of soul-filled music, delicious drinks and good vibes all around, with genres spanning R&B, hip-hop, house, pop, and of course, the best of ‘90s icons. The event begins at 8pm, entry is free and £10 cocktails are available all night. Perfection!

Summer Tipples

Just in time for the warmer weather, NIO have launched a new cafécore-inspired cocktail range. Fresh Locks

Tucked away in London’s Fitzrovia is a small and intimate salon founded by hair maestros, and husband and wife duo Philipp and Siobhan Haus. Having honed their craft at elite salons for the past twenty years, the pair strove out on their own and their one-year-old salon has already won Fashion Hair Salon of the year at the 2023/24 Salon Business Awards. Siobhan is a master of colour, from bold hues through to the most buttery soft of balayage, whilst Philipp’s cool cutting prowess has seen him on the London Fashion Week circuit for many years. New customers have the opportunity to try next-gen hair tech upon booking their first appointment — the whizzy Schwarzkopf Professional SalonLab Smart Analyzer – which determines the health of your hair. Big Splash

Hart Shoreditch has joined forces with bath and body care brand Soapsmith, resulting in a bespoke Brick Lane collection of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, exclusively available at Hart Shoreditch. On April 27th, a special workshop will invite guests to create their own bath soak by mixing together natural oils to create a unique fragrance. This session provides the chance to learn techniques directly from the brand, taking home your creation and a few other Soapsmith goodies!

Sun-Drenched Dining

From April 9th, 1 Warwick in London’s Soho will play host to Yasmin — an intimate rooftop restaurant and bar complete with wrap-around terrace. Serving seasonal small plates and elegant cocktails, the food offering has been meticulously planned by Executive Chef Tom Cenci, who also oversees the kitchen at the building's ground floor restaurant, Nessa. Middle Eastern share plates are the main attraction with standout dishes including sumac cured salmon with smoked yoghurt, sesame smoked duck, black za’atar, grilled corn salad and baklava ice-cream sandwich with pistachio. Not to be missed on the drinks menu is the Grand Bazaar, Yasmin’s take on an Old Fashioned with Evan Williams, Mancino Rosso, bitter honey aperitif and fig — the perfect summer tipple.

Big smoke

On April 25th, Mayfair's esteemed Beaumont Hotel will host a special cigar dinner on the hotel's al fresco Le Magritte terrace. Drinks will be provided by The Lakes Distillery and Thiénot Champagne, with an expert cigar pairing coming courtesy of the hotel's Director of Beverage, Antonino Lo Iacono. Festivities begin at 7pm with the arrival of fresh Carlingford oysters paired with Thiénot Brut Rosé Champagne and a premium Por Larranaga Larranaga 47 cigar. Guests' experience concludes with the Cohiba Siglo de Oro 'Year of the Rabbit' cigar, enjoyed alongside teas, coffees and digestifs from The Lakes Distillery.

Tea Time

Caviar House has launched an exclusive afternoon tea offering at its flagship Picadilly location. As its name implies, the service will include an indulgent selection of premium caviar which can be enjoyed alongside freshly baked scones, succulent seafood and classic desserts including macarons and petit fours. Pricing starts at £110 per person or £125 per person for an opulent champagne or cocktail pairing.

Drawing And Drams

On April 17th from 7-9pm,  TT Liquor, Shoreditch will be hosting a special workshop, led by the Art Academy London, an art education charity supporting people in their creative endeavours. The evening will include a welcome Spot Whiskey cocktail, two-hour hands-on drawing life in colour workshop, three whiskey dram tastings and a cocktail to finish. Furthermore, from the16th- 27th April, TT Liquor will be serving up bespoke Spot cocktails including a Whiskey Sour, Mellow Yellow highball and a Beer & Dram pairing for those visiting the Cellar bar and restaurant.

All Aboard

British history lovers will be thrilled to learn of a new spring menu launch from Supperclub.tube. This outpost is the only dining institution in the UK which allows you to enjoy fine dining cuisine aboard a fully restored 1967 Victoria Line tube carriage. Located in Walthamstow's Pumphouse Museum, this one-of-a-kind experience is a must-do for food and history lovers alike.

The latest installation of the six-course tasting menu has been created by head chef Beatriz Maldonado Carreño, expertly combines traditional Colombian traditions with British cooking techniques and seasonal produce. The result is a true flavour exploration of multiple regions in an unforgettable setting.

Fresh Fare

This April, the MOMA Group will bring a taste of the Riviera to the esteemed Langham Hotel with the arrival of onsite restaurant, Mimosa. Established in Paris, this London outpost marks the venue's first international foray, which, from the looks of the menu and interiors, will quickly become a certified hit. High ceilings, bay windows and palm chandeliers set the tone inside, while a central fig tree brings an outdoorsy whim which immediately transports guests to warm weather.

As for dishes, notable options include the whole sea bass baked in salt crust, 'Riviera' style spit-roast corn-fed coquelet with thyme and confit lemon and authentic salad Niçoise. Dishes have been designed to share in classic Mediterranean style, as Mimosa primes itself to become the place to dine this summer season.

Cheese, Please

The UK officially has its first 'build your own cheese box' experience, courtesy of Grape & Fig. From 10am-6pm every day in BRITYARD, Regent Street, you can design your own cheese and charcuterie board to take home or enjoy for lunch. Choose from a range of delicious, fresh cheeses, fruits, nuts and meats for a completely tailored miniature feast that will leave a lasting impression.

Sunday Bites

From April 7th, Norma in Fitzrovia will open its doors on Sundays, serving a Sicilian-inspired lunch menu which sounds like an absolute must-try. Dreamt up by Executive Head Chef Giovann Attard, the menu has been inspired by the culinary heritage of Sicily, drawing on the diverse flavours and vibrant ingredients readily available throughout the island. Guests can choose from two, three or four courses with prices ranging from £40pp to £60pp. Expect to dine on the likes of spaghettini fritters with parmesan sauce, pasta alla norma, mamma’s beef lasagne and the venue's signature tiramisu.

Come Together

On April 5th, Bureau restaurant in London's design district is hosting their next bi-monthly supper club, focusing on sustainable plates. In an evening designed to champion humble, seasonal ingredients in an elevated dining experience, guests will receive a welcome drink on arrival followed by three sharing-style courses. Starters include Welsh Rarebit Croquettes with pickled walnut ketchup and crispy confit pigs ears with dandelion, radish and ravigote, sharing mains include vol-au-vent with monkfish, cockles, mussels, samphire and friccasee and Lancashire hot pot with pickled red cabbage and turnip tops. Dessert has been purposefully designed to induce a sense of nostalgia, with childhood classics like baked rice pudding with Yorkshire rhubarb and lemon and passionfruit tart. Festivities begin at 6:30pm!
