One of the latest trends in luxury travel sees health and fitness experts join their clients aboard private superyacht charters, where the client benefits from bespoke, round-the-clock attention to help them bring their health and well-being back into perfect balance.
With superyachts of 35m available for charter in the Mediterranean from £10,000 per week, and able to accommodate up to 12 guests, there’s no reason why wellness and decadence can’t go hand-in-hand. What better than to venture aboard with your dietitian and chef, life coach, personal trainer and masseuse by your side?
For leading international superyacht charter and brokerage company, Camper & Nicholsons, charter clients looking for more health benefiting experiences whilst on charter is becoming ever more popular. “Many of our listings offer this kind of well-being experience, with many purposefully seeking out crew members with additional skill sets, such as qualifications in yoga instruction, massage or sports specialisms,” advises Françoise Chapot of their Monaco office.
Alongside the scuba diving, water skiing and on-deck Jacuzzi tubs, the 69m superyacht Saluzi, available for charter with Camper & Nicholsons, features two treatment rooms on board and boasts two spa therapists amongst the crew to ease rejuvenation after a session in the yacht’s gym. Saluzi’s Chef also puts a focus on healthy eating and the yacht’s purser is a qualified yoga teacher, who takes guests through a series of poses each sunrise.
Many of the larger yachts available for charter have carefully curated on board gyms and spa treatment facilities but if space is limited, marine gym equipment specialists Gym Marine have devised a ‘Gym in a Box’, including everything you’ll need for keeping up your workout regime on a smaller scale, with adjustable kettle bells, resistance tubes, skipping ropes, weights and stretching mats.
