Held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, The Oscars (also known as the 9th Academy Awards), will be taking place, honouring a historic year of cinema.

The slew of nominations has seen some familiar titles reappear, having already taken out titles at award shows earlier in the year. Chief among them is Poor Things, Oppenheimer, Barbie and Killers of the Flower Moon, which have been nominated for a mix of best picture, best actors/actresses and best costume design.

Where can you watch the 2024 Oscars in the UK?

In the UK, you can tune into the live broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX from 11pm. This year is particularly exciting as it marks the first time in 20 years that UK viewers will have free access to watch the ceremony.

The following day (Monday 11), ITV will release a 90 minute highlights episode which will feature the biggest moments from the ceremony, for those who missed it or those who would like to relive it.

Who is presenting and hosting the 2024 Oscars?

The ceremony will be hosted by television personality and talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel who joked that he "always dreamed of hosting the Oscars exactly four times," in a statement.

Among the highly-esteemed list of presenters is Zendaya, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicolas Cage, Al Pacino, Emily Blunt, Cynthia Erivo, America Ferrera, Ryan Gosling, Ariana Grande, Melissa McCarthy, Issa Rae, Tim Robbins, Steven Spielberg and Anya Taylor-Joy.

Internet personality and Chicken Shop date host Amelia Dimoldenberg will be hosting the 2024 Oscars red carpet show, acting as social media ambassador and red carpet correspondent for the awards.
