Ormiston Families Beauchamp Bazaar
Ormiston Families hosted its annual Christmas Bazaar at the new location of St. Columba’s Church on Pont Street last week.
The Ormiston Bazaar is fast becoming a fixture on London’s social calendar and is regularly attended by famous faces. Joined by Hugh Bonneville, Made in Chelsea star, Georgia Toffolo, Lady Coe, Alvin Hall and Wilnelia Forsyth, guests turned out in force to support the Ormiston Families Beauchamp Bazaar. For one night only, shoppers were treated to over 80 carefully selected, boutique stalls. The collection of proprietors included purveyors of the finest homeware, clothing, design, food and wine, from London, Suffolk and beyond.
Among just some of the exhibitors were fantastical hat designer, Jonny Beardsall, quality British clothing and accessories brand William Evans, vibrant and colourful sofa cushions from Susi Bellamy, perfumed candles by Wilnelia Forsyth, British-made, luxury fine jewellery by designer Tessa Packard and much more.
Mark Heasman, Chief Executive of Ormiston Families said, “We are hugely grateful to Trevor Pickett who along with a powerful team of supporters and staff organised such a terrific event. The proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting troubled families in the East of England and enable us to continue to grow and develop our critical work in that area.”
Trevor Pickett created the Ormiston Bazaar event five years ago. Having worked across a number of programmes, and witnessing first-hand how the charity provides young children with the care and support for their future development, Trevor is extremely keen to continue his patronage of Ormiston Families.
“The Bazaar has evolved and grown over the last five years, with the amazing support of Burlington Arcade and Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. Having raised £13,000 last year, we believe that with the new location on Pont Street, we will continue the momentum and help to raise further valuable funds for Ormiston Families. By our early estimations, we will break the £20,000 mark this year.” – Trevor Pickett (Vice President of Ormiston Families Committee).
