The small group of writers are being given the opportunity to attend L’atelier des écrivains – The Writers’ Workshop – in an 18th century French manor house complete with sweeping staircase, heated swimming pool and delicious three-course meals made from some of the finest local produce. Set against the backdrop of pretty French villages and endless countryside, the 4 day stay will allow writers to learn from each other and lead tutor Helen Cross, whose first novel My Summer of Love has been adapted into a BAFTA award-winning feature film starring Emily Blunt. Optional well being sessions are included to maximise productivity including yoga, country walks and visits to nearby historic sites for inspiration.
