Feature: Experience Top Gear

Individuals can choose from an array of Top Gear experiences, the best and most recommended of which is Top Gear’s Reasonably Priced Car – ‘the only opportunity in the world to drive the Reasonably Priced Car on the real Top Gear test track’. Of course, you won’t just get thrown in at the deep end. There will be a safety briefing and simulated session, after which you will be able to drive the renowned 1.6-liter Kia Cee’d on the famous figure-of-eight Top Gear track.

Like Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Louie Spence and a host of other celebrities, you will be invited to have your name on the Top Gear leaderboard. The question is, will you be able to swirl perfectly around that figure-of-eight? This experience is capped with some raw footage of you driving the car for you to take home with you.

And then, of course, there is the ‘Hot Lap with The Stig’ experience. Yes, that’s right – The Stig will drive you around the Top Gear test track at top speed. Fasten your seatbelts, folks, because ‘The Stig demonstrates the fastest way around all the corners you’ve seen on the TV show. The Hammerhead, Chicago, Gambon and, of course, the straight bits, which are useful for joining up all the bendy parts.’

The best thing about the Top Gear experience is that it is family friendly. Kids from 11 to 17 can enjoy their first drive accompanied by a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) – and parents are allowed in the back. ‘Everybody knows that young drivers have a tough time. Car insurance costs millions of pounds, and if you drive a cheap three-wheeler, girls won’t talk to you.
