Take a stroll along the Thames and, just after crossing Putney Bridge, you’ll spot the most Instagram-famous igloos in London. You guessed it right, Coppa has just landed in South West London and is making its way through the city.

Coppa Club first opened its doors back in 2015 in the Berkshire countryside village of Sonning-on-Thames with the aim of making its guests feel like home away from home. Since then, they haven’t stopped conquering the city and they have opened seven Coppa Club venues across London and surrounding counties; Sonning-on-Thames, Tower Bridge, Henley-on-Thames, Streatley-on-Thames, Maidenhead, Brighton and Cobham Village.

We were invited for dinner to Coppa Club Putney, the latest addition to the collection. On approaching the restaurant, the first thing that catches your eye is the beauty of the place itself and the igloos surrounding it. Although we couldn't enjoy our evening in one of them, we couldn’t complain as the interior is even more beautiful. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious - it has different areas according to your suits and needs: an intimate and warming library space, a fireplace, and a work-space. A restaurant that undoubtedly has something for everyone.

The service was fantastic from the very first moment we entered the restaurant. They welcomed and treated us with two glasses of champagne and a round table near the fireplace and the beautiful Christmas tree. They are also dog-friendly, something that we always appreciate and is a plus when reviewing a restaurant.

The menu at Coppa offers a wide range of European dishes - from snacks and small plates to share, to sourdough pizzas, salads and numerous options for mains. We kicked off our evening by sharing some nibbles until our starters arrived. We ordered the crispy fried squid with sriracha mayo and the burrata with beetroot and walnuts. Overall, they were good, two delicious starters to begin our meal.

Next up were our mains - we were looking for something light and fresh so we went for the haddock and salmon fish cake and the super green and seeds salad with Scottish salmon. They did not disappoint, delicious and really tasty. However, we felt quite full after them. It was hard to say no to their dessert menu.. we like to end our meals on a sweet note but this time, we didn't have enough room for more - we will come back for this!

Coppa Club Putney is a casual and fun restaurant offering an enjoyable menu of British and Mediterranean dishes. With a bright atmosphere, comfort food and impeccable service, Coppa is a cozy little find perfect for an impromptu meal with friends or to simply enjoy a delicious cocktail in their bar. We’ll be back for the igloos experience!
