Every week, The Sybarite collates its pick of the hottest luxury lifestyle news into bite-size chunks. Re-opening of restored historic building Scuola Grande di San Rocco by Jaeger-LeCoultre

Scuola Grande di San Rocco, the building which holds a special place in all the Venetians’ heart was under restoring over the past three years. This grand project is hosting  by luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre and now inviting the public from August 31 to September 10. The public opening will increase the donations for the restoration project. Jacopo Tintoretto, the artist who binds the building and luxury watchmaker together. Both the artist and the watchmaker are sharing the same attention to details quality that prides themselves, thus far  whilst the painter’s art showcasing in Scuola Grande di San Rocco the brand’s restoration project especially on new LED lights will incooperate and enhance on the details of Tintoretto’s works.

Malta Fine-Vintage Car Rallies 2016, once more sponsored by the Corinthia Palace Hotel & SPA

The Malta Classic, formerly known as Malta Grand Prix, the sixth year of the four-day classic car and lifestyle event held on 6-9 October. The event celebrates vintage style against a historic backdrop.

This year the non-member private collector is welcomed to partake the event to showcase their collection. 70 participants from as afield as England, France and Switzerland will all come celebrate this annual event. This events attracts and contains various of notable marques will from the grid, including Ferrari, Jaguar, Alfa Romeo, Talbot and Lancia. The event will draw to a close at the Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa with an award ceremony.

Many luxury brands have extended their aesthetics into residence, in late 2017 Mandarin Oriental Hotel group will be launching their newest hotel and residence addition in Boca Raton. The group is renowned for its excellent service and exquisite design. The residential tower with 100 units for purchase will adjacent to the hotel building by sky bridge; residence can easily access to the rooftop restaurant, pool, terrace bar and all other luxurious hotel amenities.

Apart from other luxury designer residences, Mandarin Oriental stands out with “21st century luxury with oriental charm,” Mandarin Oriental hotels reflects their local culture into living.

Twilight Express Mizukaze and Train Suite Shiki-Shima Launching in 2017

Since the first commercial bullet train has been introduced to Japan in 1964, the fabled Shingansen has taking over the country’s rail travel in 200mph. Now, it’s time for a change to celebrate slow train traveling by two new luxury train lines launching in 2017, offering the journey trickling down to Japan’s most beautiful landscape.

Twilight Express Mizukaze

With five different itineraries from one of japan’s cultural cities Osaka to the northern city Sapporo. The train offers up to three days trip which lets their guests to enjoy the luxury train amenities and the enchanting view from the west coast in an ease.

The train will only cater to 30 passengers on board the 10-carriage modern art deco-styled trains, not to mention the elegant dining car will provide sophisticated Japanese fine dine devised by the country’s most renowned Michelin-starred chef, Yoshihiro Murata.

Train Suite Shiki-Shima

On Shiki-Shima the Island of four seasons, passengers will have the opportunity to get off the train and explore local areas along the railway route. Itineraries are to include places such as Nikko Toshogu Shrine in Tochigi Prefecture, the Shirakami-Sanchi mountainous area in Aomori Prefecture, a facility related to the culture of the Ainu in Hokkaido and experiences to get a deeper feel for the local culture, such as visit to the region’s onsen hot springs and fish markets.will be made up of 10 cars, with four being dedicated to lounge, dining and viewing areas. A maximum of 34 passengers will stay in 17 lavish rooms in the remaining six cars.  The highest-grade suite on the train will have a bath made of Japanese cypress.
