You are lucky if you are able to find a quiet corner in Covent Garden.

Constantly buzzing with tourists, Londoners and nightlife alike, the best place to find some peace is by going upwards - onto a rooftop to be precise. The Sybarite team is always keeping their eyes out for the latest hidden rooftop in the most bustling parts of the city, and it is an extra bonus when they come with exceptional food. Bisushima, Shima for sanctuary and Bisu for party, is the perfect spot to get away from the madness of the city - during the day for a sanctuary, and at night to let your hair down and look over the lights of the city.

Bisushima embodies the zen synonymous with Japanese culture. The restaurant has an organic, earthy feel, with wood panelling and generous cove seating to enjoy your dinner with friends. Light pours in from every angle, filling the restaurant with sunshine during the day and the sparkling London lights at night. The real star of the show is the outside terrace, wrapping round the restaurant and deep enough for multiple outdoor dining tables.

The food is as beautiful as a painting, and becomes as much a delight on the eyes as on the palate. The food and ingredients focus on nature and becoming one with nature through food, and every plate we were served looked like a magical garden. Our starters were definitely the most impressive of the meal - the tuna, scallops, beautiful herbs and vegetables were fresh and the flavours innovative, simultaneously paired with beautiful familiar Japanese ingredients. The balance of lemon sour and creamy notes came back in every dish, from the coriander dip accompanying the calamari, to the Edomae style sushi. Order the lamb as a main and be pleasantly surprised.

Bisushima is, to us, the perfect place for a Saturday afternoon. Start with lunch and get lost in the vibe of the outside rooftop area, stay for drinks and dinner and well into the night. Make sure to order sides with your mains, and ask lots of questions about the ingredients - the incredible variety of flavours is there but not always explained. Definitely order a few cocktails and enjoy one of the most spectacular rooftops London has to offer.
