Beauty Round Up – Our Favourite Luxury Anti-Ageing Creams

Wrinkles and fine lines happen to all of us, even to those with the most careful wellness and skin care regimens. However the good news is that skincare technology has made it possible to smooth the appearance of fine lines from the comfort of your own home. And while no pot of cream can promise eternal youth and beauty, the wide range of anti-ageing creams on the market can slow the effects of ageing, and offer targeted ingredients to make maturing skin feel more comfortable. Turn back time and keep your skin looking fresher and younger with my selection of luxe anti-aging creams.

Neals Yard Frankincense Intense Lift Cream 50g – £65.00

Originating from Neal’s Yard in Covent Garden London, this organic skincare brand has been around for over three decades. I have always loved their holistic approach to beauty and one essential oil that features quite prominently in the range is frankincense.

Their latest cream I want to talk about is the Neal’s Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Lift Cream which was created to combat sagging skin. This cream promises to visibly re-contour the skin, and 75% of women who used it in a trial test claimed their jawlines felt more defined and cheeks more taut after 6 weeks of use. An ultra-nourishing trio of organic butters and oils to help strengthen, soften and restore your skin. Scientifically formulated with active and certified organic ingredients, it targets a loss of firmness and deep lines – the second signs of ageing.

Infinite by Forever Restoring Crème 48.2g – £56.33

This luxury anti-aging cream combines the best of science and nature to bring you an advanced, multifaceted anti-aging formula. When using this cream it felt light and smooth against my skin and absorbed fast without any greasy or heavy feeling. The cream has over 15 skin conditioning ingredients, which is probably the most conditioning ingredient I have found in a crea. They include the likes of acai and pomegranate that provide antioxidant support while leaving skin feeling moisturised and smooth. The centipeda cunninghamii plant, native to Australia, works to enhance the many benefits of aloe. Together, these ingredients deliver proven results for soothing skin while vitamin B3 and beet root even out tone and texture to support a youthful complexion. Ingredients such as squalane, jojoba esters, glycolipids and beeswax show significant moisturising properties and help Infinite Restoring Crème sweep across your skin. An anti-ageing essential oil blend of lavender, petitgrain, basil, eucalyptus, lime and orange-peel support aloe to replenish and rejuvenate parched skin.

Forever Restoring Creme

Dr Sebagh Supreme Day Cream and Night Secret 45ml £145 & £195

I wouldn’t normally spend this much on a daily moisturiser, so I was interested to find out what over three hundred pounds for a day and night cream got me. The day cream takes daily protection against the environment to a new level. This pioneering, “Ageing-Maintenance” moisturiser helps to shield skin against High Energy Visible light (HEV/daylight), also emitted by laptops, tablets, mobile phones and LED lights and more. This triple-protecting, luxurious cream also contains a powerful blend of antioxidants to help defend skin against free radical damage and provides anti-pollution benefits. In addition, essential moisture is restored and water loss prevented, while a “tense and lift” complex and light-reflecting pigments provide an instant tightening effect and leave skin glowing. Since using the cream, my skin has definitely improved and felt much fresher and glowing. The night cream leaves my skin soft and velvety in the morning. It might be expensive but you only need a tiny amount of both the day and night cream.

Dr Sebagh

Oskia Renaissance 360 40ml £76.00

The first thing I noticed about this cream was it’s beautiful floral scent and how easily it absorbed into the skin, allowing for make-up to be applied straight away. The day cream is suitable for all skin types and boasts Vitamins A, C, E and F and works as a powerful anti-ageing elixir. It promises to improve the skin’s elasticity, visibly reduces fine lines and thoroughly increases hydration, leaving the complexion more illuminated and healthy looking. The fortifying actives visibly reduce pigmentation and fade discolouration in order to even skin tone and restore the skin to its natural luminosity. Powerful nutrients nourish and enhance skin condition, supported by free-radical fighting anti-oxidants and a natural, underlying SPF 8 to protect against harmful UV-rays.

Adaptology Time Warp Moisturiser – £48 50ml

Adaptology is a targeted range of adaptogenic skincare solutions that help you adapt your skin’s biology to the challenges of modern living. The moisturising cream is an all-in-one package made up of potent, plant-based actives, which provides intensive nourishment, regenerates the skin and counteracts the signs of skin aging. Organic retinol and hyaluronic acid penetrate the skin to deliver moisture and lend the complexion a firmer appearance. Stress and smog don’t stand a chance when wearing this moisturiser. Adaptology curate their products with adaptogenic ingredients that derive from extremophile plants that thrive and have evolved in the extremes of nature, such as deserts, oceans, rainforests, arctic and high altitudes.

Renewing Reactivation Day Cream SPF 30 Artistry Skin Nutrition £66.85 50g

This is a new brand for me and I love its ethos. The Artistry brand products work like supplements for the skin, using cutting-edge skin science and plant-based phytonutrients with clean ingredients and processes for healthy beauty. Every product includes ingredients from Nutrilite, a world leader in vitamins and plant-based dietary supplements, that are traceable from seed to skin to ensure they’re pure, safe and effective. These skincare solutions target each person’s individual needs and skin nutritional gaps so they can create a personalized beauty regimen that’s just right, every time.
